We have had a thrilling performance from England against India over the last couple of weeks with lots of runs and some excellent batting and bowling from England.
In the meantime life goes on regardless, and we have had someone with a good innings at Ceramic Substrates. Roger one of our Precision Machinist celebrated his 65th birthday this week, so we had cake and Roger received cards and was presented with an all inclusive weekend away in Bath to enjoy with his wife Marian. Roger has been working for Ceramic Substrates for over 16years. However, in his earlier working life as an engineer for agricultural machinery, Roger had a serious accident resulting in the loss of one arm.
Despite this disability Roger was able to adapt his skills and has been an integral part of the team at Ceramic Substrates. Roger has always shown a flexible attitude towards his work and he is now passing on his skills to a new member in the milling, turning and machining department. Roger has decided to stay on at work part-time working three days a week, which will give him more time to indulge in his hobbies, which includes; gardening, DIY model making in wood and of course Uk holidays with the love of his life, his wife Marian visiting UK heritage sites and enjoying life in general.
