| Steve Jobs unveils Ipad 2 |
We have had a very busy week with enquires and orders from customers all over the world. Ceramic-Substrates and Components Ltd, has changed into a global business. Going back, for instance ten years you could not predict that the world of business would change as much, at such a fast rate. Global news events are delivered live on your desktop, Smartphone, TV and since their introduction Tablet pc’s. The whole world was buzzing with rumours last Wednesday with the introduction of the Apple Ipad2; from a marketing prospective we have to hold our hands up and applaud Apple for creating and delivering on the hype created over the last couple of months. I watched a bit of the launch online and was impressed of the new capabilities of the Ipad2. I have spotted more and more people using them at trade fairs and when you stop for a lunch break at motorway services. The only problem I can see from the Ipad1 and Ipad2 is that it still does not support flash websites (you can use Skyfire web browser for transcoding to HTML). So some of the websites you will visit will not show their full content or they may have a banner missing. We have from the beginning always believed that our website should be cross-browser/platform friendly and this includes Smartphone’s, other mobile devices like tablets running iOs 4.3 or the latest Android Honeycomb operating system coming out in the next few weeks. Our websites have been evolved and updated with new content in the last couple of weeks to make easy and fast loading on any device, however this is an ongoing process.
