This week, apart from our general election, has been one of those weeks where you are constantly working on the little things that need attention. You know those things that over a few weeks you never got round to do. Chris has been working hard on the new grinding machine, which is going to be placed in its new permanent home tomorrow by Sean and me. The special designed diamond-grinding wheel has arrived and has been put on the machine ready for use next week.
What else has been happening, our server has been upgraded today and all new office suites implemented. The office staff will be able to use all the new features like internal e-mail from next week. Sometimes in the manufacturing sector, there can be a lack of investment in IT but I hope that we are now on the right track towards faster internal and in some cases external communication. For next week, I have lined up various other jobs that need looking into and of course the quotations that my PA happily places in my tray. Using the internal mail will produce less for my tray and more for my inbox. She even suggested that I could access work from home in the weekend so I could continue working should I be bored in my free time. Next blog update (after 15-05) will be a more ceramic orientated.
